Email Marketing
What is Email Marketing?
Email marketing is contacting your clients or potential clients via email with offers or information of some value using a software that automates much of the process that you would normally do one by one. If you have a list of 1000 people, your email marketing software would do a few things, such as track how many emails sent were read by your client, how many bounced, which links your clients clicked on, and so on. With email marketing, you have more control over the look and timing of your message and more understanding of what your client does when he or she gets it in the inbox.
Why Use Email Marketing?
If you are a business owner, an independent contractor, or someone who needs to communicate a message to large groups of people, your greatest asset is your list. Your list comprises the name, email and possibly the phone number of your prospective clients. The advantage to using email marketing is that the software is set to automatically gather their information on a website using something called a “capture form”. Once the client enters his information, it gets stored on the software and you can automatically program messages to go out and welcome or sell something to him.
What Do We Use For Email Marketing?
I offer my clients a system called iContact. It’s a highly competitively priced online software that ranges from $14.99 and up, depending on the size of your list. I chose it because it’s extremely user friendly and allows you to highly customize the look of your outgoing emails.
